چکیده
Background: Drug resistance and virulence genes are two key factors for the colonization of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in settings with high antibiotic pressure, such as hospitals, development hospital-acquired infections. Objectives: The objective this study was to investigate prevalence drug gene profiles clinical isolates P. Ardabil, Iran. Methods: A total 84 were collected from specimens Ardabil hospitals confirmed using laboratory standard tests. disk diffusion method used susceptibility testing polymerase chain reaction (PCR) identification genes. Results: highest lowest rates strains against ticarcillin-clavulanate (94%) doripenem (33.3%), respectively. In addition, frequency multidrug-resistant (MDR) 55.9%. factor follows: algD 84.5%, lasB 86.9%, plcH plcN exoU 56%, exoS 51.2%, toxA 81%, nan1 13.1%, pilB 33.3%. significant association observed between some antibiotics aeruginosa. Conclusions: Our results revealed a resistance, especially MDR, virulence-associated hospitals. Owing low doripenem, gentamicin, tobramycin, these recommended treatment infections caused by highly resistant virulent strains.

Antibiotic resistance profiles of Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates containing virulence genes
Background: A most common opportunistic pathogen, Pseudomonas aeruginosa is present in both humans and animals and responsible for various nosocomial infections and healthcare settings related infections. Different virulence genes like; oprL (membrane lipoprotein L) and toxA (exotoxin A i.e. ETA) in P. aeruginosa, assist in its pathogenicity, toxicity and contribute to high antibiotic resistanc...
متن کاملDrug Resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Enterobacter cloacae Isolated from ICU, Babol, Northern Iran
Multidrug resistant (MDR) bacteria are spread through the world which causes nosocomial infections, especially in Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This study aimed to investigate resistance pattern of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Enterobacter cloacae isolated from patients in ICU. During 2011-2012, 30 isolates for each P. aeruginosa and E. cloacae were collected from patients who acquired nosocomial in...
متن کاملEvaluation of Carbapenemase and Integron Resistance Genes in Pseudomonas Aeruginosa Isolated from Clinical Samples and Determination of Antibiotic Resistance Pattern by Laboratory Method
Introduction: Pseudomonas aeruginosa is one of the most important bacteria causing nosocomial infections, especially in immunocompromised patients. Many antibiotics such as aminoglycosides, quinolones, and beta-lactams are used to treat infections caused by this bacterium. But the emergence of hospital resistance and outbreaks of resistance strains have been widely reported. The aim of this stu...
متن کاملEpidemiological study of Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated from clinical specimens.
The epidemiology of Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection was studied in Siriraj Hospital. During April 1989-June 1990, P. aeruginosa 436 strains were isolated from clinical specimens of 260 patients, ie blood (19 strains), pus (192 strains), sputum (159 strains) and urine (66 strains). By using a combination of serogroups and pyocin types as epidemiological markers, it was found that there were 10 ...
متن کاملPrevalence of β-lactamase genes, class 1 integrons, major virulence factors and clonal relationships of multidrug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated from hospitalized patients in southeast of Iran
Objective(s): Pseudomonas aeruginosa is one of the most important nosocomial pathogens causing a high rate of mortality among hospitalized patients. Herein, we report the prevalence of antibiotic resistance genes, class 1 integrons, major virulence genes and clonal relationship among multidrug- resistant (MDR) P. aeruginosa, isolated from four referral hospitals in the...
